About the project
The mission of the app creators is to reduce food waste and support those who need help in meeting basic food needs.
Our role was to create the app from the initial concept to the publication of the app on the AppStore and Google Play platforms.
Side technologies
During our work, we went through the stages of workshops, the creation process, developing mockups, designing the design, ending with the implementation and adding the application to marketplaces.
Challenges
- Designing a clear path for food transfer
- Defining the rules for meal reservations
- Securing exchanges between users
- Engaging users in food sharing
- Increasing environmental awareness
- Building a community around the brand's activities
Solutions
- Interactive map allowing you to search for meals to be collected based on the user's current location
- The ability to book meals and specify collection details by exchanging messages between users
- Ensuring the security of exchanges thanks to point and descriptive ratings and a system for reporting abuse for both parties to the transaction
- The ability to share the number of "saved" meals in the form of attractive graphics on social media, user profiles with recommendations and information on the number of meals
- The application, thanks to the built-in chat, allows you to make new friends and build relationships with members of the local community

We remember the collaboration on the Neverwaste project as a huge inspiration from the app creators. A deep understanding of the needs of people who want to change the world for the better by sharing meals and reducing food waste was key to creating a functional app.

Proces
Workshops
Analysis of the main project assumptions, definition of key functions, development of architecture and selection of appropriate technologies.
UX / Design mockups
Development of the service structure, key interaction paths and modules. Design of an aesthetic and functional interface, consistent with the visual identification.
Programming
Implementation of the application based on designs, integration with the backend, implementation of planned functions and optimization.
Publication / Maintenance
Preparation, delivery and maintenance of working and production environments. Ongoing support, monitoring and development of the solution, including the introduction of new functionalities and improvements.
The first step is to create an account, which gives you full access to the app's features and joins the food-sharing community. The app account is free, and the registration process is simple and transparent.
Users can add meals to share or search for available deals using an easy-to-navigate map that shows their area or use advanced filtering.
The user arranges for a safe and convenient food delivery via the built-in chat and meal reservation option. After the meal is delivered, the person posting the advert marks it as completed in the app. Both parties have the opportunity to leave a rating, which helps build trust in the community.
